The M25 Incident
by Tamaryn Hodge
Britain's busiest motorway, the M25 London Circular, ground to a halt this evening when a Leonberger made a heroic dash for freedom! He leapt out of the window of a slow moving vehicle during the bumper-to-bumper rush hour after waking up with a desperate urge to answer the call of nature!.
Being an absolute gentleman (as all Leonbergers are) he could not contain himself long enough to communicate his need with his chauffeur and took the drastic decision to find the nearest grassy area, which, in this case, happened to be the central reservation between the six lane motorway. After hurling himself through the window, stunned drivers watched in awe (and considerable amusement) as the Leo spent a leisurely few minutes emptying his bowels. In fairness it must be explained that he did have an upset tummy at the time.
Finally, with obvious relief and none the worse for his adventure, Leo, who was returning home after a day at the South Wales Championship Show, was persuaded to return to his vehicle after taking a round of applause from the many hundreds of drivers who had patiently sat through the ordeal. To their credit, not one of them even sounded their horn, let alone attempted to drive on, but remained, transfixed at the sight of what they probably thought was an escaped lion prowling between their vehicles.
Footnote; Whilst this Leo did not win a first prize for his performance at the show it was a unanimous decision that he gained first prize for his Motorway production!.
