Motivation

Leos need a LOT, LOT, LOTTA motivation to perform. They like cheering - the louder the better - and if the crowd isn't cheering then their handler better be doing it. Yes, giants can do agility and they can title in the sport too, but it takes a lot of work to make it happen. We have to make sure that our dogs are always on the really skinny side and we have to be willing to run as fast as the speed of light ourselves in order to inspire and push our dogs to the same level of performance. I have always joked that if I could only bring pom-poms into the ring Frieda would be so much happier (and much easier for me) but I have learned to do this with my voice and body language instead.
